First annual arab.european Documentary Convention release preliminary program and confirmed contributors
The arab.european Documentary Convention gathers exceptional documentary professionals and decision-makers from around the globe from April, 12-14th in Leipzig to foster connectivity, spark critical debate and ignite change. The 2018 aDC program includes a diverse array of debates, panels and case studies, as well as rough-cut and public screenings centred on the documentary industry across Europe and the Arab region.
AFAC & DOX BOX Announce first edition of Documentary Convention for April 2018
The arab.european Documentary Convention gathers documentary professionals and decision-makers from around the globe in its first edition in Leipzig. International Associates of the edition are DOK Leipzig, IDFA Bertha Fund and the Sundance Institute.

آفاق ودوكس بوكس يطلقان الدورة الأولى من ملتقى السينما الوثائقية
تنطلق الدورة الأولى من “ملتقى السينما الوثائقية” بين 12 و14 نيسان/أبريل 2018 في ميديان-كامبوس فيللا إيدا (لايبزغ)، بالشراكة ما بين الصندوق العربي للثقافة والفنون – آفاق ومؤسسة دوكس بوكس (ألمانيا). سيجمع الملتقى في دورته الأولى في لايبزغ إختصاصيّين وصنّاع قرار في حقل الفيلم الوثائقي من حول العالم، وبمساهمة شركاء دوليين هم دوك لايبزغ، صندوق إيدفا بيرثا ومعهد صندانس

Die arab.european Documentary Convention versammelt außergewöhnliche Dokumentarfilmschaffende und Entscheidungsträger aus aller Welt vom 12.-14. April in Leipzig, um Vernetzung, kritische Debatten und Anstöße für Veränderungen zu fördern. Neben Expertengruppen, Podiumsdiskussion und Fallstudien runden Feedback-Screenings und zwei öffentliche Filmvorführungen das vielfältige Programm ab.

Die arab.european Documentary Convention bringt dieses Jahr in erster Auflage Dokumentarfilmschaffende aus der ganzen Welt in Leipzig zusammen. Internationale Partner sind DOK Leipzig, der IDFA Bertha Fund und das Sundance Institute.
